How to print your PDF door hanger template
PRINTING YOUR TEMPLATE:
Here is an example of what my printer settings look like for printing the PDF template.
Yours should be very similar:
Print mode= portrait mode usually, but if you aren't getting the results you prefer, then try landscape. Auto rotate & center pages
Page scaling = none
Paper Quality = draft (to save ink)
INSTRUCTIONS FOR DIY PRINTING:
A PDF for a for printing your door design is included in your purchase. The printed design size is listed in the details of each design, but if you want to make a larger or smaller template, go to BlockPoster.com and upload the BW outline JPG that is supplied in each purchase. Pick the size you want from the menu, download your file, print out your template, cut it out and tape it together. Take your cut paper template and lay graphite paper underneath it between the wood; trace out the lines onto ¼” plywood, cut with tool of your choice. I use a jig saw and a scroll saw depending on the design. Sand, wipe dust and paint.
PAINT PALETTE SWATCHES:
The swatches represent the colors used in my design and are meant to give you an idea of what was used so feel free to use your own creativity. Names of paints are not listed on all palette designs, but feel free to use what brand of paints you have already available in your craft supplies. There are no rules to follow here...use your own paint color creativity! If you want a specific color name/brand, I may be able to help. Just email me any questions you may have. :)
- Images are all hand drawn high resolution in 300 dpi and were created in Procreate.
- PNG images are 300 dpi have a transparent backgrounds so you can make our designs the size you need. Do NOT edit or change this design from its original format. You may add different wording, just don’t change the design in any way, please.
- Please note that image colors vary from screen to screen. Most of my designs will have a color palette to give you an idea of how to make your color choices to paint your door hangers, but when printed, they may look much different than what you see online. Keeping a copy of the color design PDF on your phone when shopping for paint colors would be most helpful.
